Win a Free Dinner with WGCI's Tony "Da One Man Riot" Sculfield

Gary, IN—WGCI’s Tony "Da One Man Riot" Sculfield will host over 200 free dinners for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Northwest Indiana, Beatchre Strong Chapter’s “Tour of Northwest Indiana Restaurants” to support the organization’s 5th Annual Fun*Run*Walk-A-Thon. The date of the 10K run, 5k walk is Saturday, June 12th at 7 AM to be held at Marquette Beach.
The restaurants that will host the free dinners are, Miller Bakery Café located 555 Lake Street, Gary, IN, Café Royale Seafood Restaurant located 5528 Melton Road, Gary, IN, Café 444 located 444 Lake Street, Gary, IN, and Dolly’s Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlor located 1801 Grant Street, Gary, IN. At the free dinners, there will be special performances by the comedian/WGCI’s morning co-host, Tony Sculfield and the “Spoken Word” group, Enigma Poets. Tony Sculfield will be hosting monthly comedy shows at the new Majestic Star Festival Park starting on June 19th.
To win one of the free dinners or to register on-line for the run/walk-a-thon, log on to www.NWINSickleCell.org to fill out the entry form or call the Sickle Cell’s office at (219) 949-5310 and tell the office, “I want to win a free dinner with Tony Sculfield!” Businesses and individuals may also call the office to inquire about sponsorships and vendor opportunities or to donate to the Sickle Cell organization. The website is hosted and sponsored by DataMine, a website solutions specialists organization. Volunteers may register to assist the organization with events or fundraising by coming to the volunteer meetings every Wednesday until June 9th at 5 PM held at the Gary Neighborhood Service, Inc., Barbara Leek-Wesson Building located 300 West 21st Avenue.

Also, the “world’s largest” Bennigan’s Grill and Tavern located 500 East 5th Avenue, Gary, IN will host a dinner for the run/walk team with the most team members that participate in the fundraising event on June 12th. The sponsors and supporters of the free dinners and the walk/run-a-thon are BerylMartin, Bennigan’s, Coca-Cola, CODE 219 TV Show, DataMine, Dolly Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlor, The Gary Crusader, Indiana Harbor Coke Company, JACOWA 3 Entertainment, Majestic Star Casino, Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc., Steeltown Records, United Water, and Universal Inspirations.
WGCI’s Tony Sculfield and Enigma Poets will attend the next volunteer meeting in the Gary Neighborhood Service, Inc.; Barbara Leek-Wesson Building located 300 West 21st Avenue on Thursday, May 20th at 5 PM to kick-off the free dinner contest. Also, Tony Scony, of 2nd Deminsion Entertainment and of Tony Scony Productions, will be on hand to donate and dedicated the hit-single, “Son-Shine” to the Sickle Cell organization. The song will be used as a theme song for the annual walk/run event. The general public is welcome to attend.
